The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater is a 2,500-seat, state-of-the-art theater located in the heart of Utah’s capital city. The theater has been a major contributor to the Downtown Rising vision for a vibrant capital city, rich in the arts, that belongs to all of Utah. The Eccles Theater has been recognized as one of the best theaters in North America, for both its audience-friendly front-of-house and efficient backstage & production design. This theater has hosted many first run Broadway touring shows , such as Hamilton and Lion King, and nationally-prominent music and comedy acts, such as Bob Dylan and Steve Martin. This incomparable PAC has become the top reason for downtown visits, even more popular than the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
